Random Sagittarian Bluntness: Waiting On Tomorrow

Originally self-published in my first book.

From 2012’s Roadtripping the Dream

Happy twilight!

You beautifully boisterous hue!

Your watercolor ribbons tie up the sky.

With my head on my arm

in silent repose,

I watch the remnants of today

transition into tomorrow

beyond the pane

of a lightly frosted window.

Fare thee well proud sun.

I anticipate the coming of the moon

whose incandescent beam smiles bright

into a velvety night,

littered with stars.
